Photographie - Photographen – Als Teil der UN Emergency Force wurden 1956 dänische Soldaten nach Ägypten geschickt um die Suezkrise zu beenden. UN Generalsekretär Dag Hammarskjöld und der kanadische Außenmisnister Lester B. Pearson erhielten für die Organisation der UN Emergency Force später den Friedensnobelpreis. - Die Photographien zeigen größtenteils die Soldaten im Lager oder unterwegs. Des weiteren mehrere Photographien von Fahrzeugen, Flugzeugen und der Landschaft sowie Ägyptern. - Dabei: Anstecker der UN Emergency Force. - Erkennungsmarke von Erhardt L. Bound in an Asian-style lacquer album with wooden covers (showing slight rubbing and bumping). - Danish soldiers were deployed to Egypt in 1956 as part of the UN Emergency Force to help resolve the Suez Crisis. UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld and Canadian Foreign Minister Lester B. Pearson later received the Nobel Peace Prize for organizing the UN Emergency Force. - The photographs primarily depict the soldiers in camp or on the move. Also included are numerous images of vehicles, aircraft, and the landscape, as well as local Egyptians. - Included: UN Emergency Force pin/badge. - Erhardt L. Høier's dog tag. - Overall, in very good condition.
