Manuskripte und Urkunden – Reisebeschreibungen eines jungen Mannes der Stuttgarter Knapp-Familie, womöglich eines Sohnes des Theologen Albert Knapp (1798-1864) in ein Notizbuch seines Vaters. - "Mein Vater erlaubte mir mit Gantter (d.i. Ludwig Gantter (1815-1876)) engl. Lehrer von der polyt. Schule, mit Steinheil & einem 3ten, Namens Fiederer, eine Reise nach Tyrol & einem Theil von Oberitalien zu machen, am Dienstag den 29ten treten wir sie an, ich treffe Obige in Ulm." - Die gezeichneten Ansichten zeigen u.a. Stuttgart, Gebhardsberg, Burgruine Montfort, Schattenburg in Feldkirch, Viamala und das Verlorene Loch (Schweiz), Villa Carlotta, Kirche in Prirano. - Erste u. letzte Blätter entnommen, tls. stockfleckig, sonst insg. gut erhalten.

Knapp' dated 1851 on a mounted cover label (cover slightly warped, scuffed, bumped, soiled and chafed in places). - Travel accounts by a young man from the Knapp family of Stuttgart, possibly a son of the theologian Albert Knapp (1798-1864), written in one of his father's notebooks. - The views and sketches depict, amongst others, Stuttgart, Gebhardsberg, the ruins of Montfort Castle, Schattenburg in Feldkirch, Viamala and the Verlorene Loch (Switzerland), Villa Carlotta, and the church in Prirano. - The first and last pages removed, some foxing, otherwise overall well preserved.
