(GA 355). - Verlegt bei Arnold-Bordas. - Eluard gab an, er hätte bereits beim Schreiben gewußt, dass das Werk von Chagall illustriert werden würde. Diese in der von Daniel Jacomet um 1900 erfundenen edlen Reproduktionstechnik von pochoirkolorierten Phototypien besonders kräftig und farbfrisch wiedergegeben. - Der Rücken der Broschur mit Fehlstellen, einige der Blätter in den Rändern etwas gebräunt, mitunter leicht stockfleckig und mit Läsuren.

(total print run 355). - Published by Arnold-Bordas. - Eluard stated that he had already known whilst writing that the work would be illustrated by his friend Chagall, whose drawings here are reproduced with particularly vivid and fresh colours using the fine reproduction technique of pochoir-coloured phototypes, invented by Daniel Jacomet around 1900. - The spine of the paperback with some faults.Some of the sheets slightly browned at the edges, occasionally with light foxing and slight shelf-wear.
