Es handelt sich um Abzüge der nach Abschluss der Auflage entwerteten Druckplatten. - Die Edition gehörte zu einer Zusatzsuite, die nur für treue Sammler in einer kleinen Auflage von lediglich 100 Exemplaren gefertigt wurde.

Published by Albert Skira, Lausanne. - The work originates from the suite of the so-called Planches biffées or Cancelled Plates for Les Métamorphoses d'Ovide. These impressions were pulled from the printing plates after they had been cancelled following completion of the edition. The edition formed part of a supplementary suite produced exclusively for loyal collectors in a small edition of only 100 copies.
