Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Provenienz: Aus dem Besitz Peter Sedgleys. - Die vorliegende Aluminiumassemblage steht charakteristisch für das Werk Remottis der 1970er Jahre. In diesem Zeitraum schuf der römische Künstler eine Vielzahl an Metallreliefs aus Nägeln und Tubenverschlüssen, dessen Nahtstellen die Assoziation mit Narben nahelegen. Das Oeuvre Remottis lässt sich an der Schnittstelle zwischen Neodadaismus und Konstruktivismus verorten.

Online - Modern and Contemporary Art – Provenance: From the collection of Peter Sedgley. - Aluminium relief featuring tubes and nails. Signed, dated and with place of origin on the verso. The aluminium frame has two missing pieces, light staining on the verso, partial glued areas, and residue from the original mounting. - Overall, very good condition. - This aluminium assemblage is characteristic of Remotti's work from the 1970s. During this period, the Roman artist created a large number of metal reliefs made from nails and tube caps, the seams of which suggest an association with scars. Remotti's oeuvre can be situated at the intersection of Neo-Dadaism and Constructivism.
