Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Der Kontakt zwischen Gottfried Helnwein und Marlene Dietrich entstand durch den Dokumentarfilm "Marlene" aus dem Jahr 1984, für den der österreichisch-irische Künstler das Filmplakat entwarf. Der Künstler und die Schauspielerin entwickelten eine bis zu ihrem Tode im Jahr 1992 eine tiefe Freundschaft. Die Farboffsetlithographie entstand 1990 als Edition und beruht auf der Photographie des Filmplakates von 1984.

Overall in very good condition. Superb impression with wide margins. - The connection between Gottfried Helnwein and Marlene Dietrich began through the 1984 documentary film 'Marlene', for which the Austrian-Irish artist designed the movie poster. The artist and the actress developed a deep friendship that lasted until her death in 1992. The color offset lithograph was published as an edition in 1990 and is based on the photograph used for the 1984 film poster.
