8 Aquarelle. Grüße aus Ibiza. Je um 1969-1982. Je Aquarell bzw. Aquarell und Collage aus bemalter Leinwand auf festem Velin. Je ca. 10 x 10 cm (ca. 17 x 11 cm). Je signiert, datiert und teils mit Ortsbezeichnung "Ibiza". - Papier teils altersbedingt leicht gebräunt, teils mit kleinen, punktuellen Flecken. Kanten teils minimal bestoßen. Insgesamt sehr gut.

Auf für den Künstler charakteristische Weise verbinden sie konkrete Formensprache mit lebhafter Farbigkeit und oszillieren so zwischen seriell gedachten, konstruktiv geordneten Kompositionen und spielerischen Variationen.

Each is signed, dated and some bear the location 'Ibiza'. - Paper partly slightly browned due to age, partly with small, scattered spots. Edges partly slightly bumped. Overall very good. - On the reverse, addressed to Bettina Dubini, Zurich. - These watercolours were created as individually designed postcards that Gessner sent from his adopted home of Ibiza to Zurich. In a manner characteristic of the artist, they combine a concrete formal language with vibrant colours, thus oscillating between serially conceived, constructively ordered compositions and playful variations.
