Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Sigrid Kopfermann gehört zu den bedeutenden Vertreterinnen des deutschen Informel. Nach dem Studium bei Willy Jaeckel und Bernhard Dörries in Berlin wandte sie sich von der gegenständlichen Malerei ab und entwickelte eine freie abstrakte Bildsprache. Längere Arbeitsaufenthalte in den französischen Seealpen, in Frankreich, den USA und Peru in den 1980er Jahren lieferten wesentliche Impulse für ihr künstlerisches Schaffen. Charakteristisch für diese Schaffensphase der deutschen Künstlerin sind ihre Blumenbilder, zu denen auch die vorliegende Arbeit zählt.

Luminous work, the colors fresh and vibrant. - Sigrid Kopfermann ranks among the most important representatives of German Informel. After studying under Willy Jaeckel and Bernhard Dörries in Berlin, she turned away from representational painting and developed a free abstract visual language. Extended working stays in the French Maritime Alps, France, the United States, and Peru during the 1980s provided important impulses for her artistic development. Characteristic of this phase in the German artist's oeuvre are her floral compositions, to which the present work also belongs.
