Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Farbleuchtende Komposition in kräftigem, pastosem Farbauftrag, die nur noch Andeutungen einer Landschaft erkennen lässt. Das Werk entstammt einer Schaffensphase, in der Henning ihre Landschaftsmalerei immer mehr zu dichten Bildräumen und Wirkungsfeldern von Farbe abstrahierte. Die deutsche Künstlerin studierte Anfang der 1940er Jahre an der Hochschule für Kunsterziehung in Berlin bei Willy Jaeckel, Bernhard Dörries und Otto Freytag und später an der Kunstakademie Stuttgart bei Willi Baumeister.

Online - Modern and Contemporary Art – Oil on canvas. Signed, as well as signed, dated, with estate's stamp and gallery label on the verso. - Very subtle craquelure. Overall in very good condition. The colours are fresh. - A vibrantly coloured composition with a bold, impasto application of paint, revealing only hints of a landscape. The work dates from a creative phase in which Henning increasingly abstracted her landscape painting into dense pictorial spaces and fields of colour. The German artist studied in the early 1940s at the College of Art Education in Berlin under Willy Jaeckel, Bernhard Dörries and Otto Freytag, and later at the Stuttgart Art Academy under Willi Baumeister.
