Signiert und datiert, sowie verso mit handschriftlich ausgefülltem, typographischem Verkaufsetikett des Kunstvereins Stuttgart. - Blatt mit kleinen, blassen Flecken und punktuellen Knickspuren, Ecken und Ränder leicht berieben, verso dezent atelierspurig. Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausdrucksstarke Arbeit.

Die Künstlerin überträgt diese Plastiken auf das flache Papier und behält ihre Dreidimensionalität durch die metallisch wirkende Oberfläche, die Hell-Dunkel-Kontraste und Lichtreflexe bei. Das behandelte Hauptthema der Problematik der Balance und das Spiel zwischen zwei- und dreidimensionalem Denken wird in unserer Zeichnung durch den Bildausschnitt und die Anordnung der skulpturalen Gelenke im Bild besonders deutlich.

Overall, very good condition. An expressive work. - Gerlinde Beck's drawing was created in 1970 as part of the "Physiognomics" series, a group of monumental metal sculptures whose appearance is reminiscent of robots. The artist transfers these sculptures onto flat paper while retaining their three-dimensionality through the metallic-looking surface, the light-dark contrasts, and the reflections of light. The central theme of the problem of balance and the interplay between two- and three-dimensional thinking is particularly evident in our drawing through the cropping of the image and the arrangement of the sculptural joints within it.
