Online - Photography - Moderne Photography – Gelatin silver print mounted on wove board. Verso with the photographer's stamp. - Minor surface scratches and slight rubbing to the edges, in the upper edges with holes of former mounting. Overall in very good condition. A clean print. - The present work is characteristic of Heinrich Heidersberger's oeuvre, for which he developed the Rhythmograph, a unique apparatus used to create his celebrated Rhythmograms. Through a mechanically coupled mirror and a point light source, four harmonically damped pendulums generate complex traces of light on photosensitive material. The interplay of frequency, amplitude, and phase shift produces elegant light drawings with a striking sense of spatial depth. These works represent a unique synthesis of artistic creativity and scientific precision, exemplifying Heidersberger's fascination with both aesthetics and technology.
