Geometrische Abstraktion - Op Art – Unnumeriertes Exemplar neben der Auflage von 100 Exemplaren. - Die Arbeit zeigt ein geometrisches Zusammenspiel aus einem schwarzen Rechteck und einem großen weißen Kreis, deren Überlappung eine klare Hell-Dunkel-Spannung erzeugt. Die untere Kreishälfte wird von einem dichten Geflecht horizontaler Linien durchzogen, die über den Bildrand hinauslaufen und sich diagonal kreuzen - ein Zick-Zack-Muster, das optisch zu vibrieren scheint. Durch den Kontrast zwischen dem hellgrauen linken und dem tiefschwarz verdichteten rechten Bereich entsteht eine illusorische Raumtiefe auf rein flacher Fläche. Das Werk ist exemplarisch für Sotos Kinetische Kunst: Bewegung und Tiefe werden allein durch visuelle Wahrnehmung erzeugt, ohne dass sich physisch etwas bewegt.

Unnumbered copy besides an edition of 100. - The work depicts a geometric interplay between a black rectangle and a large white circle, whose overlap creates a distinct light-dark tension. The lower half of the circle is crisscrossed by a dense network of horizontal lines that extend beyond the edge of the image and intersect diagonally-a zigzag pattern that appears to vibrate visually. The contrast between the light gray area on the left and the deep, dense black area on the right creates an illusory sense of depth on a purely flat surface. The work is exemplary of Soto's kinetic art: movement and depth are generated solely through visual perception, without anything physically moving.
