Pop Art – Nicht mehr bei Lloyd. - Je eines von 30 römisch nummerierten Exemplaren. - Druck bei Kurt Zein, Wien, je mit dessen Trockenstempel. - Hrsg. v. Galerie Ernst Hilger, Wien.
Pop Art – 4 works. Each colour etching on strong wove paper. Each signed, dated and Roman numbered. In original linen wing folder. - Isolated, hardly visible bumpings in corner or margin, all in all very good and impeccably nice. Throughout splendid, contrast-rich and picturesque-like impression of the large-format depictions, each with wide margin and deckle edge on two sides. - Each one of 30 Roman numbered copies. - Print by Kurt Zein, Vienna, each work with drystamp. - Publ. by Galerie Ernst Hilger, Vienna. - In his artistic oeuvre beginning from the late 1960s, Allen Jones critically examines the image of women presented in advertising and magazines. Drawing on the brightly colored, garish, and loud visual language of Pop Art, he presents the female body as a marketable, erotically charged stimulus for society. Dressed in revealing clothing, striking provocative poses, and transformed into stylized figures, they represent the complex relationship between femininity, perceived image, and reality. In "Catwalk," the runway becomes a place of presentation, public display, and identity.
