Komposition - Blau auf leuchtrot und orange. 1969. Farbserigraphie auf festem Velin. 76,2 x 62,5 cm (78,3 x 64,8 cm). Signiert und nummeriert. Unter Passepartout montiert. - Dezente Oberflächenbereibung. Ecken leicht knickspurig. Oberer Rand leicht gewellt, oben rechts mit leichtem Wasserfleck. Minimaler Einriss am rechten unteren Rand. Verso mit Montagespuren. Insgesamt sehr guter Zustand. Prachtvolle Arbeit mit intensiv leuchtender Farbgebung.

Eines von 110 Exemplaren. - Geigers Arbeitsweise ist stark reduziert und vermeidet jede gegenständliche Darstellung zugunsten klarer geometrischer Formationen, meist in Kreis- und Ovalstrukturen. Charakteristisch ist der Einsatz intensiv leuchtender, oft fluoreszierend wirkender Farbtöne, die er in präzise abgestimmten Kontrasten einsetzt. Farbe wird bei Geiger nicht als Darstellungsmittel, sondern als eigenständige, räumlich wirkende Kompnente verstanden.

ZERO – Colour screenprint on sturdy wove paper. Signed and numbered. Mounted under passe-partout. - Subtle surface rubbing. Corners slightly creased. Upper edge slightly wavy, with a faint water stain at the upper right. Minimal tear at the lower right edge. Traces of mounting on the reverse. Overall in very good condition. Splendid work with intensely luminous colouring. - Cf.: Geiger, WVG 122. One of 110 copies. - Geiger's working method is highly reduced and avoids any representational imagery in favour of clear geometric formations, mostly based on circular and oval structures. Characteristic is the use of intensely luminous, often fluorescent-appearing colour tones, which he applies in precisely calibrated contrasts. In Geiger's work, colour is not a means of depiction but an independent, spatially effective component.
