Lot 159 Hans Hartung. L1973-37. 1973. Lithographie …
L1973-37. 1973.
Informel – RMM 438., II.A.h.
Informel – Colour lithograph on laid paper. 35 x 35 cm. Signed. Titled and with inscriptions by another hand on the reverse. - Faint handling marks on the reverse, edges slightly bumped in places. Overall in very good and clean condition. A magnificent, richly coloured and finely textured print of the partly borderless, expansive composition. - The reverse side shows faint fingerprints, the edges are slightly scuffed in places. In very good condition overall and in excellent condition. A magnificent, finely nuanced print with a chalky effect. - A copy outside the numbered edition. - This landscape-format sheet displays Hartung's characteristic grammar of gestural line in a mature, distilled form and reflects Hartung's printmaking of the 1970s: spontaneity and control are conceived not as opposites, but as a dialectical unity.
