Neben den bedeutenden Künstlern der DDR vertrat sie auch Größen der Westdeutschen Nachkriegsmoderne wie Georg Baselitz.

In addition to leading artists from the GDR, it also represented major figures of West German post-war modernism such as Georg Baselitz.
