Calina acanthifolia. 1920er Jahre. Farbstift auf leichtem Velin. 40,5 x 27 cm. Verso mit Nachlassstempel. Punktuell auf Unterlage montiert und im Passepartout freigestellt. - Papier dezent gegilbt, leicht knickspurig und unregelmäßig beschnitten, verso mit Farbflecken. Insgesamt gut. Filigrane Arbeit.

Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Filigran ausgeführte Studie eines Eberwurzes. Der deutsche Künstler Rudolf Schlichter studiert zwischen 1910 und 1916 an der Karlsruher Kunstakademie Malerei, zieht 1919 nach Berlin und ist mit George Grosz, John Heartfield und Otto Dix Mitglied der Novembergruppe. Anfang der 1930er Jahre verlässt er Berlin, wendet sich dem Katholizismus zu und widmet sich vermehrt realistischen Landschaftsdarstellungen. Die vorliegende Zeichnung stammt wahrscheinlich aus dieser Schaffensphase in der Bischofsstadt Rottenburg am Neckar.

Online - Modern and Contemporary Art – New Objectivity. - Coloured pencil on light-weight vellum. Estate stamp on the verso. Partially mounted on a backing board and set in a passe-partout. - Paper slightly yellowed, with faint creases and irregularly trimmed edges, colour stains on the verso. Overall in good condition. A delicate piece of work. - A delicately executed study of a wild boar. The German artist Rudolf Schlichter studied painting at the Karlsruher Kunstakademie between 1910 and 1916, moved to Berlin in 1919 and, alongside George Grosz, John Heartfield and Otto Dix, was a member of the November Group. In the early 1930s, he left Berlin, turned to Catholicism and increasingly devoted himself to realistic landscape depictions. This drawing probably dates from this creative phase in the bishopric town of Rottenburg am Neckar.
