Sammlung von drei eigenhändigen Briefen mit Unterschrift des deutsch-russischen Chemikers (1772-1824) an den Chemiker u. Politiker Louis-Bernard Guyton de Morveau (1737-1816) in Paris. Französische Handschrift auf Bütten u. Papier. Belvedere in Weimar, 1798/1799. Insg. 20 beschr. S. auf 5 Doppelblättern (Einzelblattmaße ca. 22,5 x 18,3 cm).

Autographen – ADB 31 (1890), S. 99ff. - Scherer bittet um Fachzeitschriften aus Paris, berichtet Morveau über das von ihm bei Breitkopf und Härtel herausgegebene "Allgemeine Journal der Chemie" und fragt nach dessen Mitarbeit. Ein weiteres Schreiben betrifft die chemischen Entdeckungen von Cavallo, van Marum, Kirwan, Hildebrandt, Cruickshank, Jameson u.a. - Einer der drei Briefe mit identischer eh. Abschrift. - Faltspuren, Blattränder tls. knitterig, 1 Bl. mit Siegelausrissen, sonst insg. wohlerhalten.

Autographs – Collection of four autograph letters signed by the German-Russian chemist to the chemist and politician Louis-Bernard Guyton de Morveau (1737-1816) in Paris. French handwriting on laid paper. - Scherer requests specialist journals from Paris, informs Morveau about the "Allgemeine Journal der Chemie", which he edits at Breitkopf & Härtel, and asks for his collaboration. Another letter concerns the chemical discoveries of Cavallo, van Marum, Kirwan, Hildebrandt, Cruickshank, Jameson, and others. - One of the three letters with an identical copy by Scherer. - Fold marks, leaf edges partly creased, one leaf with torn seal, otherwise overall well preserved.

Framed tickets are shipped exclusively by a shipping company due to the risk of breakage. Postal shipping is only carried out at the express request and risk of the buyer.
