Gramont, Armand Antoine, XII. Duc de (1879-1962). Brief an Fernand Gregh mit Unterschrift im Kuvert. Paris, 31.1.1953. 4°. 1 S.

Autographen – Der Verfasser gratuliert dem Lyriker, Literaturkritiker und Historiker Fernand Gregh (1873-1960) zu dessen Aufnahme in die Académie Francaise: "Elle couronne une noble carrièr d'écrivain." (Sie krönt eine edle Karriere als Literat.) Gregh war ein früher Weggefährte von Marcel Proust und Henri Bergson. Neben zahlreichen Gedichtbänden verfasste er auch Theaterstücke und mehrere autobiographische Schriften. 1953 wurde er als Nachfolger von Charles de Chambrun in die Académie gewählt. - Der Gratulant Armand Antoine, 12. Herzog von Gramont, war Industrieller und Wissenschafter. U.a. gründete er 1919 den Kamerahersteller Optique & Précision de Levallois. - Das Kuvert gestempelt und mit Briefmarke.

Paris, 31 January 1953. 4°. 1 page. - The author congratulates the poet, literary critic and historian Fernand Gregh (1873-1960) on his admission to the Académie Française: 'Elle couronne une noble carrière d'écrivain.' (It crowns a noble career as a writer.) Gregh was an early companion of Marcel Proust and Henri Bergson. In addition to numerous volumes of poetry, he also wrote plays and several autobiographical works. In 1953, he was elected to the Académie as the successor to Charles de Chambrun. - The congratulator, Armand Antoine, 12th Duke of Gramont, was an industrialist and scientist. Among other things, he founded the camera manufacturer Optique & Précision de Levallois in 1919. - The envelope is stamped and has a postage stamp.
