Plakate - USA
Modern Literature and Art – 2 works. Each colour lithograph, isolated with colour metal appliqué, embossed, on light wove paper. Each signed and dated in the print. - Each with publisher's copyright stamp Maeght - Arte Paris in lower margin, one work with printed artist's copyright stamp on right margin. - Exhibition posters by Romanian-American artist Saul Steinberg who distinguished himself in particular with his graphic, caricature-like style in connection with the legendary Parisian Galerie Maeght. Widely known for his work in The New Yorker, these two posters also speak for Steinberg's distinctly creative, advertising-effective style with its quick yet confident strokes. - Few slight up to very slight horizontal crease marks, partly isolated very slight handling traces, verso traces from previous mounting with slight loss of paper, hardly seeping through onto recto, isolated, very faint storage marks, all in all good. Excellent, colour-rich impressions, each with narrow margin.
