Sie thematisieren Liebe in vielfältigen Formen: sentimental, sinnlich, hingebungsvoll oder besessen. Samains poetischer Stil verbindet Feinstofflichkeit mit mystischer Sinnlichkeit. - Die Radierungen von Sylvain Sauvage in Albert Samains Contes (1926) sind eindrucksvoll ausgeführt in Farbe, Décomposition (Farbzerlegung), Rötel/Sanguine und Schwarz und gelten als Meisterwerk seiner Art-Déco-Periode. Prachtvoller Meistereinband in der Nachfolge von Pierre Legrain, Rose Adler, Henri Creuzevault oder Georges Mercier. - Sehr selten.

They deal with love in its many forms: sentimental, sensual, devoted, or obsessive. Samain's poetic style combines subtlety with mystical sensuality. - The etchings by Sylvain Sauvage in Albert Samain's Contes (1926) are impressively executed in color, décomposition (color separation), red chalk/sanguine, and black, and are considered masterpieces of his Art Deco period. Magnificent master binding in the tradition of Pierre Legrain, Rose Adler, Henri Creuzevault, and Georges Mercier. - Very rare.
