Moderne Literatur und Kunst – Neue Werkkunst. - Erste Ausgabe der Originalausgabe, selten. - Johann Emil Schaudt war ein deutscher Architekt, der vorwiegend Geschäftshäuser und Verwaltungsgebäude in Hamburg und Berlin entwarf. Berühmt ist er vor allem durch die Errichtung des Kaufhaus des Westens (Ka De We) in Berlin. Hatte er sich zunächst stilistisch am Historismus orientiert, wie von Ihne und Wallot ihn vertraten, übernahm Schaudt mit der Errichtung des Kaufhaus des Westens zunehmend Elemente von der seit der Jahrhundertwende aufkommenden Reformarchitektur. Von einer plastischen Formgebung herkommend, reduzierte er seine Formensprache auf einen sachlichen Neoklassizismus. - Gutes Exemplar des seltenen Werkes.
