Lwd. mit OUmschlag (Umschlag stärker berieben und bestoßen). - Signierte Photographie von Rabenau. 1942. 16 x 10,5 cm. - Brief von Rabenau als Kommandant der Festung Breslau an den Generalleutnant a. D. von der Lippe. - Von Rabenau war ein deutscher Theologe und Offizier. Er versuchte in seiner Zeit als Leiter des Heeresarchivs höhere Wehrmachtführer für den Widerstand zu gewinnen und wurde schließlich als Mitwisser des Attenats auf Hitler im Jahr 1944 verhaftet wurde. Danach wurde er in verschiedene Konzentrationslager gebracht und letztendlich am 14. oder 15. April auf ausdrücklichen Befehl Heinrich Himmlers ermordet. - Insgesamt gut erhalten.

Leipzig, Hase & Koehler, 1938-1940. 8°. Hardback with original dust jacket (Cover heavily rubbed and bumped). - Signed photograph of Rabenau. 1942. 16 x 10.5 cm. - Letter from Rabenau, as commander of the Breslau Fortress, to Lieutenant General (ret.) von der Lippe. - Von Rabenau was a German theologian and officer. During his time as head of the Army Archives, he attempted to recruit senior Wehrmacht commanders to the resistance and was eventually arrested in 1944 as a co-conspirator in the plot against Hitler. He was subsequently sent to various concentration camps and ultimately murdered on 14 or 15 April on the express orders of Heinrich Himmler. - In good overall condition.
