Geschichtswissenschaften – Vierseitiger Druck mit einem Bericht über die Hinrichtungen von Guy Fawkes und seinen Mitverschwörern. Enthält eine chronologische Erzählungen aller acht Hinrichtungen und der Abläufe sowie auch die Rede von Sir Edward Philip. Guy Fawkes war Teil des Gunpowder Plots (Pulververschöwrung), welcher von Robert Catesby geplant wurde. Um die Unterdrückung der Katholiken in England zu protestieren und eine neue Regierung herbeizuführen plante Catesby das House of Lords während der Parlamentseröffnung am 5. November 1605 in die Luft zu sprengen. Ebenfalls anwesend bei der Parlamentseröffnung war der damalige König Jakob I. Jedoch wurden die Verschwörer durch ein anonymes SChreiben verraten und festgenommen, darunter auch Guy Fawkes, der die Fässer mit Schwarzpulver entzünden sollte. Bis heute wird jedes Jahr am 5. November, der sog. Bonfire Night, der Vereitelung des Attentats gedacht und mit Feuerwerken gefeiert. - Stark fleckig und wasserrandig. Mit Einrissen und kleinen Fehlstellen. History – Account relating to the execution of Guy Fawkes and his co-conspirators. Framed between glass. - Four-page print with an account of the executions of Guy Fawkes and his co-conspirators. Contains a chronological narrative of all eight executions and their proceedings, as well as the speech by Sir Edward Philip. Guy Fawkes was part of the Gunpowder Plot, which was planned by Robert Catesby. To protest the oppression of Catholics in England and to bring about a new government, Catesby planned to blow up the House of Lords during the State Opening of Parliament on November 5, 1605. King James I was also present at the State Opening. However, the conspirators were betrayed and arrested by an anonymous letter, including Guy Fawkes, who was supposed to ignite the barrels of gunpowder. To this day, the foiled assassination attempt is commemorated every year on November 5th, known as Bonfire Night, with fireworks. - Heavily stained and water-stained. With tears and small losses. Text mostly legible and well preserved.
