Literature of 17th to 19th Century – First edition of the rare and still authoritative complete edition with reproductions of the title pages and the woodcut illustrations of the original editions. - 5 vols. With engraved portrait frontispiece, 1 frontispiece with view, 1 fold. facsimile and seome text illustr. Later marbled half cloth (minor rubbing, spine with removed library labels). - Without the two supplement volumes published up to 1870 with additional letters and indexes. - At the end of vol. 2 the corrected pp. 193/194 and 117/118 from vol. 1 bound in. In vol. 1 the Index Bibliographicus (pp. 1*-104*), published separately and first in 1858, is bound after the introduction before the text. - Copy from the library of the Karl-Sudhoff-Institute for the History of Medicine and Natural Sciences at Leipzig University, closed at the end of 2018, with its stamp and dated redemption stamp of the Leipzig University Library "Bibliotheca Albertina". - Partly slightly browned due to paper, overall very well preserved.
