Manuscripts – Collection of 6 autographed picture postcards, 1 autographed business card, 2 cinema invitation cards, 1 autographed original portrait photograph and 1 typewritten letter with attached travel brochure, all with autographs. Berlin, Florence, St. Moritz and Tierra del Fuego, 1921-30. 5.5 x 4 cm (portrait), approx. 9 x 13 cm (cards), 29 x 22.5 cm (typescript). Evidence from the post-war life of the 'Flieger von Tsingtau' (1886-1931) as a car mechanic in Charlottenburg, as captain of the recreational ship 'Lensahn' (see brochure) and finally as an aviation pioneer in Tierra del Fuego, where he crashed in 1931. All addressed to the (painter) Erna (called Diana) Greiff von Mach in Berlin-Halensee, mostly with short messages and greetings. Among the picture postcards are two labelled original photographs from Tierra del Fuego ('my silver condor in the dream harbour, Tierra del Fuego' and 'One of the Balmaceda glaciers', dated 1929). The cinema tickets (also signed) for the premiere of Pluschow's Ufa film 'Segelfahrt ins Wunderland' (Sailing to Wonderland). A signed, but clearly used copy of the book of the same name (1926) is included, as well as an unsigned photo of Pluschow with his young son Guntolf, a photo of a portrait drawing of Guntolf by Erna Greiff, minor correspondence from 1987/88, newspaper clippings, etc. - One picture postcard damaged by the removal of the stamp, otherwise in good condition.
