2 Arbeiten. Portraitminiaturen. Frühes 19. Jahrhundert. Gouache auf Bein. Je ca. 7,7 x 5,3 cm. Signiert "Fils" und "Herman". Je gerahmt in dunkelbrauner Leiste mit Messingborte hinter Glas. Einmal ungeöffnet. - Ränder leicht berieben, eine Ecke geklebt. Insgesamt sehr gut, detailreiche, feinmalerische Arbeit.
Miniaturen
Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Empire-Miniaturen mit den Darstellungen eines männlichen und eines weiblichen Portraits in repräsentativer Kleidung auf dünnem Beinblatt. Die Herstellung von Portraitminiaturen etablierte sich als eigenständige Darstellungsform im frühen 16. Jahrhundert und fand ihren Höhepunkt Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts. Die feinmalerischen Bildnisse dienten der Repräsentation, der Betrachtung und des portablen Gedenkens an eine nahestehende Person.
Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Gouache on bone. Signed 'Fils' and 'Herman'. Each framed in a dark brown moulding with brass trim, behind glass. One opened. - Edges slightly rubbed, one corner repaired. Overall in very good condition, a finely executed work rich in detail. - Empire miniatures depicting a male and a female portrait in formal attire on thin panel. The production of portrait miniatures established itself as an independent art form in the early 16th century and reached its peak in the early 19th century. These finely painted portraits served for representation, contemplation and as a portable memento of a loved one.
