Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Der Münchner Landschaftsmaler Otto Strützel gehört zu dem Kreis von Malern um Max Slevogt, Lovis Corinth und Max Liebermann, die den deutschen Impressionismus prägten. Eines der Hauptmotive des Künstlers war die ländliche Münchner Umgebung, die er mit einer besonderen Aufmerksamkeit für Licht und Temperatur in seinen oft kleinformatigen Gemälden einfing. Seine Werke zeichnen sich durch eine zurückhaltende Farbpalette und wenige Kontraste aus, wodurch stimmungsvolle, unverfälschte Momentaufnahmen entstehen. - Punktuell kaum merkliche Anschmutzungen, Firnis leicht gegilbt. Insgesamt sehr gut. Idyllische Ansicht einer Dorfmühle in harmonisch-gedeckter Farbpalette mit stimmungsvollem Lichtspiel.

Monogrammed and inscribed "Mchn". - The Munich landscape painter Otto Strützel belongs to the circle of painters around Max Slevogt, Lovis Corinth and Max Liebermann who characterised German Impressionism. One of the artist's main motifs was the rural surroundings of Munich, which he captured with a special attention to light and temperature in his often small-format paintings. His works are characterised by a restrained colour palette and few contrasts, resulting in atmospheric, unadulterated snapshots. - Barely noticeable soiling in places. Otherwise very good with an atmospheric motif in a harmonious colour palette.
