Zt. auf 3 Schmuckbünden über Holzdecken, Schwarzprägung auf Rücken mit floraler Ornamentik in 4 Feldern und ebendort sowie auf Decken mit Rahmung durch Mehrfachfileten, zwei Metallschließen auf Lederbändern, Vorsätzen aus Kammmarmorpapier und umseitig gesprenkeltem Schnitt (Hintergelenk mit alter Restaurierung, Schließenbänder erneuert, etwas beschabt, bestoßen und berieben).

Ausg. v. 1734).- Die Erstausgabe des anonym erschienen Werks von großer Seltenheit, für uns auf Auktionen der letzten 4 Jahrzehnte nur ein einziges Mal nachweisbar. - Umfassendes und systematisch gegliedertes Kochbuch, verfasst von der "Ehewirtin" (Privileg) des Nürnberger Verlagsbuchhändlers Endter, Susanna Maria Endter, auch bekannt unter dem Nebentitel "Vollständiges Nürnbergisches Koch-Buch". Mit schönem allegorischem, eine bacchantische Szene darstellendem Frontispiz, u.a. die im Titel genannten Göttinnen Ceres (Getreide), Diana (Jagd) und Pomona (Obst) zeigend. Die 15 Falttabellen bzw. -diagramme zeigen die Anordnung der Speisen auf der Tafel, die beiden Kupfertafeln mit Abbildungen und Benennungen der Teile von Ochs (diese großformatig) und Kalb. - Etwas gebräunt, mitunter gering finger-, schmutz- und tintenfleckig, eine der Tafeln gering wasserrandig, einige wenige Bl. eselsohrig und mit kleinen Einrissen entlang der Rändern, die Lagen Oo und Pp sowie die Bl. Oooiiii u. Pppi mit kleinen Löchern im Aussensteig (ohne Textverlust). Insgesamt wohlerhaltenes, sammelwürdiges Exemplar dieses Rarums der Gastrosophie.

Varia and Miscellaneous – First edition of a classic work of German language gastronomic literature. With engraved title page, 2 folding engraved plates and 15 folding plates with tables and diagrams. Bound in mottled calf on 3 decorative bands over wooden boards, black embossing on spine with floral ornamentation in 4 fields as well as on covers with framing by multiple fillets, two metal clasps on leather straps, marbled endpapers, sprinkled edges (back joint with old restoration, clasp straps renewed, somewhat bumped and rubbed). - For references see above. - Particularly first edition of this anonymously published work, only one further copy at auction in the last four decades. - Comprehensive and systematically structured cookbook, written by the 'Ehewirtin' (printer's privilege) of the Nuremberg publisher and bookdealer Endter, Susanna Maria Endter, also known under the secondary title 'Vollständiges Nürnbergisches Koch-Buch'. With a beautiful allegorical frontispiece depicting a Bacchanalian scene including the goddesses Ceres (grain), Diana (hunting) and Pomona (fruit). The 15 tables and diagrams show the arrangement of the dishes on the table, the two folding engravings with illustrations and names of the parts of ox (in large-format) and calf. - Slightly time-stained, occasionally with minor finger stains, dirt and ink stains, one of the plates with minor water damage, a few pages dog-eared and with small tears along the edges, leaves Oo and Pp as well as Oooiiii and Pppi with small holes in the outer margin, no loss of text however. Overall, a well-preserved, collectible copy of this rare and influential cook-book.
