Photographie - Photographen – Mit 108 Photographien, darunter etliche Portraitphotoraphien, von Samoa und Tonga. Hiervon einige mit dem Trockenstempel "J. Davis Photos" des Photographen John Davis, der ab ca. 1880 in Samoa tätig war. Unter den Photographien befinden sich auch einige, die auf der Vailele Plantage aufgenommen wurden. Das Land der Plantage wurde im 19. Jahrhundert der Deutschen Handels- und Plantagen Gesellschaft (DHPG) verwaltet. Neben den Photos aus Samoa und Tonga befinden sich auch 6 Photographien aus Amerika sowie 56 Photographien und 2 Zeichnungen aus Deutschland und der Schweiz unter der Sammlung. - Ränder der Photographien tls. leicht ausgebleicht. Insgesamt gut erhalten.

In cloth album with blind-stamped covers and mounted fittings (rubbed and bumped, slightly stained, spine missing). - With 108 photographs, including several portrait photographs, from Samoa and Tonga. Some of these bear the dry stamp "J. Davis Photos" of the photographer John Davis, who worked in Samoa from around 1880. Among the photographs are also some that were taken on the Vailele plantation. The plantation land was administered by the German Trading and Plantation Company (DHPG) in the 19th century. In addition to the photos from Samoa and Tonga, the collection also includes 6 photographs from America and 56 photographs and 2 drawings from Germany and Switzerland. - Edges of the photographs slightly faded in places. Overall in good condition.
