Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Gedruckt bei der Lithographischen Anstalt von Arnz & Co., Düsseldorf. - Die vorliegende Lithographie zeigt einen Panoramablick auf die Stadt Elberfeld (heute Stadtteil von Wuppertal) vom nordwestlichen Stadtrand aus. Die Lithographie entstand als Beilage zur Verfassungsschrift des Elberfelder Oberbürgermeisters J.R. Brüning und dokumentiert die Stadt im Moment ihres Wachstums: Im Vordergrund noch unbebautes Gelände, im Mittelgrund dei Baugrube der Laurentiuskirche (Grundsteinlegung 1829). - Blatt augenscheinlich leicht lichtrandig, punktuellen Flecken und partiellen Bereibungen. Insgesamt sehr gut. Prachtvoller, kreidiger Druck.

Prints and Engravings - Views – Colour lithograph on laid paper. Typographically inscribed in the margin. Mounted in places on backing paper and beneath a passe-partout with a gold border, and framed in a gold-coloured moulding (unframed). - This lithograph shows a panoramic view of the town of Elberfeld (now a district of Wuppertal) from the north-western outskirts. The lithograph was produced as an insert for the constitutional document of Elberfeld's mayor, J.R. Brüning, and documents the town at a time of growth: In the foreground, undeveloped land; in the middle ground, the foundation pit of St Laurentius Church (foundation stone laid in 1829). - Sheet appears to have slight marginal wear, isolated spots and partial rubbing. Overall, very good condition. Magnificent, chalky print.
