Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Eine spätere Auflage der nach William Tombleson entstandene Ansicht des Kurortes Bad Ems über die Lahn. - Das Blatt gehört ursprünglich zu Tombleson's Publikation "Views of the Rhine", die 1832 erstmals in London erschien und unter dem Titel "Baths Ems" aufgeführt wird. Die Ansicht verbindet die weite Flusslandschaft mit der charakteristischen Uferbebauung des Badeortes. Bad Ems war damals vor allem wegen seiner heilkräftigen Mineralquellen bekannt und entwickelte sich im 19. Jahrhudnert zu einem international renommierten Kurort für Monarchen, Politikern und Künstlern aus ganz Europa. - Leichte Bestoßung der Ecken. Vereinzelt braunfleckig. Insgesamt ausgezeichnet. farbfrischer, gratiger Druck.

Prints and Engravings - Views – View from the east. Aquatint on laid paper. Mounted in a passe-partout. - A later edition of the view of the spa town of Bad Ems on the River Lahn, based on a work by William Tombleson. The print originally formed part of Tombleson's publication *Views of the Rhine*, which was first published in London in 1832 and is listed under the title *Baths Ems*. The view combines the expansive river landscape with the characteristic riverside buildings of the spa town. At the time, Bad Ems was known primarily for its healing mineral springs and developed in the 19th century into an internationally renowned spa resort for monarchs, politicians and artists from all over Europe. - Slight wear to the corners. Scattered brown spots. Overall, an excellent print with fresh colours.
