Prospecte von Berlin (Deckeltitel). Folge 49 Aquatintatafeln mit Ansichten wichtiger Monumente Berlins. Berlin, Gaspare Weiss et Comp, um 1815. Je ca 7 x 11 cm (11 x 14 cm). Unterhalb der Darstellung je mit gestochener Bezeichnung in deutscher und französischer Sprache. Überwiegend mit gestoch. Angaben zu Verleger, tls. mit gestoch. Angaben zu Stecher u. Künstler. Lose eingelegt in OPp. Mappe (12,7 x 15 cm) mit DTitel (etw. stärker gebrauchsspurig, berieben, beschabt u. fleckig, Rücken erneuert).

Orts- und Landeskunde mit verschiedenen Schlagworten – Von großer Seltenheit. - Kleinformatige Serien von Berlin-Ansichten nach Friedrich August Calau (tätig von ca. 1790 bis 1830). "Er zeichnete anmutige Berliner Strassen- und Hauseransichten fur den Kupferstich ... Seine Aquarelle sind wahre Wunderwerke der Miniaturmalerei. Die Wiedergabe der Architektur ist trotz der Kleinheit des Formats durchaus korrekt und sauber, die zierliche Figurenstaffage spiegelt das Berliner Biedermeiertum in Haltung u. Tracht auf das glücklichste wieder." (Thieme/B. V, 374f.) - Mit Ansichten von: Brandenburger Tor, Charité, Prinzenpalais, Potsdamer Platz, Alexanderplatz, Charlottenburger Schloss - u.a. - Alters- u. papierbedingt etw. gebräunt (tls. etw. stärker), einzelne Bll. mit blassbraunen Fleckchen, tls. etw. fingerfleckig, die Ecken minimal bestoßen. Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausgesprochen prachtvolle u. kontrastarke Drucke je mit schmalem Rand. -- Auf Anfrage senden wir gerne eine Gesamtliste der Darstellungen zu.

Local and Regional Studies – Set of 49 aquatint plates with views of important monuments in Berlin. Each with engraved inscription in German and French below the depiction. Mostly with engraved publisher's details, partly with engraved details of engraver and artist. Loosely inserted in orig. card portfolio with title on cover (somewhat stronger traces of use, rubbed, scuffed and stained, spine renewed). - Of great rarity. - Small-format series of Berlin views after Friedrich August Calau (active from ca. 1790 to 1830). - Depicting: Brandenburger Tor, Charité, Prinzenpalais, Potsdamer Platz, Alexanderplatz, Charlottenburg Palace - a.o. - Some browning due to age and paper (partly a little stronger), some pages with pale brown spots, partly somewhat fingerstained, corners minimally bumped. Overall very good. Exceptionally splendid and high-contrast impressions, each with narrow margins.
