Geographie und Reisen – Beigegeben: 1 Brief mit handschriftlichen Notizen zur Entstehung des Kratersees und dessen Bildung im Zusammenhang mit der Eruption (gasförmige Prozesse). - Zwei Blätter mit Darstellungen des Vulkans La Sofrière auf der Insel St. Vincent, eine davon kartographisch angelegt und bezeichnet "Sketch of the Soufrière Mountain ... By Lieut. Robt. Hor. Minly, 1st W.I.R.". Die Blätter zeigen eine schemtaische Draufsicht mit Unterscheidung von altem und neuem Krater sowie eine topgraphische Ansicht des Kraterinneren wit Wasserfüllung. Die handschriftliche Notiz diskutiert die Entstehung des Kratersees im Jahr 1812 und reflektiert frühe naturwissenschaftliche Erklärungsansaätze.

Geography and Travel – Watercolour on handmade paper or vellum. One sheet is inscribed. Both have age-related browning and small brown spots in places, one sheet has crease marks and isolated tears along the edge. Overall in good condition. - Enclosed: 1 letter containing handwritten notes on the origin of the crater lake and its formation in connection with the eruption (gaseous processes). - Two sheets depicting the La Soufrière volcano on the island of St Vincent, labelled "Sketch of the Soufrière Mountain ... By Lieut. Robt. Hor. Minly, 1st W.I.R.". The sheets show a schematic top view distinguishing between the old and new craters, as well as a topographical view of the crater interior filled with water. The handwritten note discusses the formation of the crater lake in 1812 and reflects early scientific attempts at explanation.
