Die kräftig, kontrastreich und detailverliebt in Stahl gestochenen Tafeln nach Zeichnungen von W. H. Bartlett je mit vorgebundenen Seidenhemdchen. - Taf. "Berwick, Lighthouse, from the Pier" wie meist nicht eingebunden. - Erster fliegender Vorsatz mit hs. Besitzervermerk. Etwas gebräunt, teils gering stockfleckig, insgesamt gut erhaltenes Exemplar im wohlgestalteten Meistereinband.

Geography and Travel – With 2 additional steel engraved title pages and 123 steel engraved plates. Bound in skilfull contemporary morocco (labelled J. Brook, Huddersfield). - Extensive, richly illustrated work with picturesque views of various English, Scottish and Welsh harbours, ports and coastal sceneries. The bold, contrasting and detailed steel engravings based on drawings by W. H. Bartlett, each with a silk cover. - Plate 'Berwick, Lighthouse, from the Pier' not bound in, as is usually the case. - First front fly-leaf with owner's inscription. Somewhat browned, some minor foxing, overall well-preserved copy in a beautifully designed master binding.
