Lacqueur-Präsentationstruhe mit Einlage, China, um 1900. 11,5 x 68 x 68 cm. - Lack mit teilweise horizontalen Spannungsrissen, minimalen Abplatzungen und leichtem Abrieb, Papierbeschichtung der Einlage berieben und dezent rissig.

Geographie und Reisen – Aufwendig gearbeitete Präsentationstruhe mit einem passig geschweiften Korpus aus Holz und einer Lackierung in der Tradition der chinesischen Lackkunst ("qiqì") aus rotem Zinnoberlack und schwarzer Farbe. Der Deckel der Truhe zeigt symmetrisch-zentrierte, florale, goldfarbene Ornamente und einen Phönixvogel inmitten von polychrom gefassten Pfingstrosen, Chrysanthemen und Bambus, die symbolisch für Glück und Harmonie, sowie Reichtum und Prosperität stehen. Ausgestattet ist die Truhe mit Scharnieren, Schloss und einem Öffnungsbegrenzer aus Messing. Eine herausnehmbare Kartontrennung im Inneren mit einer Beschichtung aus bemaltem Silberpapier greift die Motivik der Truhe auf und dient der Präsentation von traditionellen Kleidungsstücken.

Geography and Travel – Lacquered display chest with insert, China. - Lacquer with some horizontal stress cracks, minimal flaking and slight wear, the paper lining is rubbed and slightly cracked. - Elaborately crafted display chest with a beautifully curved wooden body and a lacquer finish in the tradition of Chinese lacquer art ('qiqì') using red cinnabar lacquer and black paint. The lid of the chest features symmetrically centred, floral, gold-coloured ornaments and a phoenix amidst polychrome peonies, chrysanthemums and bamboo, which symbolise happiness and harmony, as well as wealth and prosperity. The chest is fitted with hinges, a lock and a brass opening restrictor. A removable cardboard divider inside, coated with painted silver paper, echoes the chest's motifs and serves to display traditional garments.

A pickup of this work is possible in our premises at Potsdamer Str. 16, 14163 Berlin by appointment. If you wish a shipment of the work, please contact us for a consultation and shipping calculation. Framed tickets are shipped exclusively by a shipping company due to the risk of breakage. Postal shipping is only carried out at the express request and risk of the buyer.
