Ehepaar in einer Loge. 1936. Tuschfederzeichnung auf Bütten. 22 x 27 cm. Signiert, datiert und betitelt. Im oberen Rand in Punkten auf Unterlage montiert, unter Passepartout. - Die Montierung in den oberen Ecken leicht durchschlagend. Insgesamt sehr gut. Feinlinige Zeichnung mit abstrahier-kubistischen Elementen.

Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Der Künstler Kurt Scheele war als Maler, Zeichner, Grafiker und Autor tätig. Er absolvierte zunächst ein Studium an den Kunstgewerbeschulen in Frankfurt und Offenbach, bevor er 1924 an die Frankfurter Städelschule wechselte, wo er bei Franz Karl Delavilla studierte. 1927 zog Scheele nach Berlin, wo er u. a. mit Emil Nolde und Ernst Barlach in Kontakt stand. Ab 1929 war er mit seinen Arbeiten deutschlandweit sowie international auf Ausstellungen vertreten. Während der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus wurde seine Kunst als "entartet" diffamiert, was ein generelles Ausstellungsverbot zur Folge hatte. 1943 wurden sein Berliner Atelier und ein Großteil seines Werkes durch Bombenangriffe zerstört.
