Klassische Moderne - Bauhaus

Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Albert Hennig gehört zur sogenannten "Leipziger Bauhausgruppe" und zählt zu den wichtigen Vermittlern der Bauhaus-Idee in Mitteldeutschland. Nach seinem Studium am Bauhaus in Dessau in den späten 1920er-Jahren entwickelte er eine eigenständige, vom Konstruktivismus und Expressionismus gleichermaßen beeinflusste Bildsprache. Hennig kombinierte geometrische Strukturen mit gestischem Farbauftrag und suchte in seiner Malerei nach einer Balance zwischen Ordnung und Emotion. Nach 1945 setzte er seine künstlerische Arbeit in der DDR fort, wo er trotz politischer Einschränkungen an der abstrakten Formensprache festhielt.
