Deutsche Nachkriegsmoderne – Eines von nur 20 Exemplaren. - Aus kräftigen und expressiv überlagerten Strichen arbeitet Baselitz mit der Radiernadel die Darstellung einer Hand heraus, welche sich fragmenthaft über klare anatomische Struktur hinwegsetzt. Gleichzeitig fungiert die Hand dabei nicht nur als Bildmotiv, sondern auch als Reflexion des künstlerischen Schaffensprozesses selbst und verweist auf die körperlich existenzielle Dimension der Kunstproduktion.

German Post War – Color etching on strong wove paper. Signed, dated, and numbered. Inserted in green original linen portfolio. - In very well preserved condition. Splendid and distinctly burr-like impression of the depiction with wide margins, at the bottom with deckled edge. - One of only 20 copies. With bold and expressive overlapping strokes, Baselitz uses the etching needle to carve out the depiction of a hand, which fragmentarily breaks clear anatomical structure. At the same time, the hand functions not only as a pictorial motif, but also as a reflection of the artistic creative process itself, referring to the physical, existential dimension of art production.
