ZERO – Fulda-Kuhn 31 VI. - Probedruck vor der Auflage von nur 22 Exemplaren. - Selten. Druck und Hrsg. v. Rottloff, Karlsruhe.
ZERO – Silk-screen in silver on light wove card. Signed, dated and indicated. In both upper corners slight crease mark, isolated, slight superficial abrasion, esp. on lower left, verso trace from previous mounting at left margin, isolated slight handling trace, all in all good and impeccably nice. - Proof print before the edition of only 22 copies. - Rare. - Printed and published by Rottloff, Karlsruhe. - From the 8-parted portfolio "Made in Silver" which works featuring embossings, reliefs, metal foils and aluminium cardboard deal with the theme of silver. - Heinz Mack, the last surviving founding member of ZERO, explores the interplay of light, movement, materiality and serial structure in his artistic workof body from the 1960s. Within metal surfaces and grids he finds a technical material from which he removes stability and solidity, transforming it into ephemeral appearances with the help of light. Instead of materiality determining the overall impression, light actively sets the tone, dematerialising and removing the pictorial subject from objectivity. A visual metaphysical space is created that envelops the viewer in a light-kinetic art experience.
