Eins von 30 Exemplaren der Vorzugsausgabe auf breitrandigen Velin d'Arches. - Die Meerjungfrau ist meist nach vorne gewandt und blickt den Betrachter direkt an. Ihr Gesicht wirkt großflächig und ihre Augen sind mandelförmig betont, wodurch eine geheimnisvolle, leicht entrückte Ausstrahlung entsteht. Das Haar ist häufig ausladend und in kräftigen Farben gehalten, die Komposition ist lebhaft und expressiv. Sie scheint auf dem Wasser oder an einem Flussufer zu sitzen. Im Hintergrund finden sich oft abstrahierte, urbane Hinweise auf Paris, wie beispielsweise die Silhouette der Seine oder angedeutete Stadtelemente. Kräftige Farben und expressive Linienführung zeichnen diesen bedeutenden Vertreter des Fauvismus aus.

The mermaid is usually facing forward and looking directly at the viewer. Her face appears large and her eyes are almond-shaped, creating a mysterious, slightly distant aura. Her hair is often voluminous and brightly colored, and the composition is lively and expressive. She appears to be sitting on the water or on a riverbank. The background often features abstract, urban references to Paris, such as the silhouette of the Seine or hints of city elements. Strong colors and expressive lines characterize this important representative of Fauvism.
