Entre la lumiére. 2002. Kaltnadel und Aquatinta in Blau auf festem, leicht strukturiertem Velin. 24,8 x 17,7 cm (49,8 x 33 cm). Signiert und nummeriert. Punktuell auf Unterlage montiert. - Vereinzelt leicht angestaubt, verso kleine Bleistiftannotation, insgesamt sehr gut und ausgesprochen schön. Ganz ausgezeichneter Druck von drei Kupferplatten, mit deutlich eingeprägten Plattenrändern und breitem Rand, rechts mit dem Schöpfrand.

Konkrete Kunst – Nicht bei Mason. - Eines von lediglich 24 Exemplaren. - Als eine der wegweisenden französischen Künstlerinnen der Farbfeldmalerei, entwickelt Asse ab den 1960er Jahren eine zunehmend abstrakte Formensprache,die in dem für sie charakteristischen "Asse-Blau" gipfelt. Flächig setzt sie es in ihren Kompositionen ein, die zum Eintauchen in die blaue Unendlichkeit einladen. Inspirationsquelle der Künstlerin sind Kindheitserinnerungen an Himmel, Ozean und Horizont von der Rhuys-Halbinsel, jenem Ort an der französischen Atlantikküste, an dem sie aufwuchs. Durch das Blau in ihren Kompositionen verläuft meist eine Vertikale, die, einem öffnenden Streifen am Horizont gleich, die unendliche Küste zum unendlichen Himmelsgewölbe öffnet.

Concrete Art – Drypoint and aquatint in blue on strong, slightly structured wove paper. Signed and numbered. Spot-mounted to underlying mat. - Isolated slightly dusted, verso small pencil annotation, all in all very good and impeccably nice. Very superb impression from three copper plates, with clearly impressed plate mark and wide margin, deckle edge on the right. - One of only 24 copies. - One of the leading French artists of color field painting, Asse developes an abstract formal language from the 1960s on which culminates in her characteristic "Asse blue". She uses it in her compositions in order to invite the viewer to immerse in unendless blue. The artist draws her inspiration from childhood memories of the sky, ocean and horizon of the Rhuys Peninsula, a place on the French Atlantic coast where she grew up. A vertical line usually runs through the blue in her compositions, like an opening strip on the horizon, opening up the infinite coast to the infinite vault of the sky.
