Auf der Fahrt durch die Wüste in Arizona. Um 1946. Aquarell über Federzeichnung auf strukturiertem Velin. 20,3 x 26,5 cm. Monogrammiert und bezeichnet. Auf Unterlage sowie unter Passepartout montiert. - Im oberen Rand mit kurzem, recht unscheinbaren Einriss (ca. 3 cm). Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausgesprochen farbfrische Arbeit.

Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Die Arbeit möglicherweise Teil einer Bildfolge, vor dem Titel bezeichnet mit "6/7". - Hans Jaenisch hatte 1927 erstmals in Herwarth Waldens Sturm-Galerie ausgestellt. Während des Zweiten Weltkrieges diente Jaenisch und lebte in den Jahren von 1943-45 als Kriegsgefangener in Amerika, dort gelangte er von Oklahoma über Texas, New Mexico und Arizona, bevor er 1946 in das kriegszerstörte Berlin zurückkehrte.

Mounted on backing and under mat. - With short, quite inconspicuous tear (approx. 3 cm) in upper margin. Very good overall. Exceptionally fresh colours. - The work is presumably part of a series of drawings, inscribed '6/7' before the title. - Hans Jaenisch first exhibited in Herwarth Walden's Sturm-Galerie in 1927. During the Second World War, Jaenisch had to serve and lived as a war prisoner in America from 1943-45, travelling from Oklahoma via Texas, New Mexico and Arizona before returning to war-ruined Berlin in 1946.
