Kopf eines jungen Mannes. Um 1960. Lasierter Gips. ca. 35 x 20 x 20 cm. Verso monogrammiert "K.E." - Auf der Standfläche mit Spuren vorheriger Montierung (Holzsockel beiliegend), leicht unregelmäßig patiniert bzw. partiell mit leichter Oberflächenanschmutzung, nur vereinzelt mit kleinen Materialabplatzungen. Insgesamt gut erhalten.

Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Nicht bei Lufft. - Kurt Edzard studierte Bildhauerei bei Hermann Volz und Wilhelm Gerstel an der Kunstakademie Karlsruhe. Er lebte und arbeitete unter anderem in Berlin, Karlsruhe, Paris und London und wurde ab 1946 als Professor an die Technische Hochschule Braunschweig beruf. Sein umfassendes Werk ist von französischen Bildhauern wie Rodin und Maillol beeinflusst und besteht vor allem aus Porträtbüsten, Aktplastiken und Reliefs, wobei er die Materialien Gips, Stuck, Terrakotta oder Bronze bevorzugte.
