Geometrische Abstraktion - Op Art – Eines von 35 Exemplaren. - Das vorliegende Werk von 1982 gehört zur Serie der Spiegelverformungen, in der Bonato die metallisierte Spiegelfläche auf Holz- oder Trägerplatten montiert und anschließend durch gezielte Wölbung oder Faltung in eine neue Raumwirkung versetzt. Die visuelle Wirkung ist mehrschichtig: Durch die Krümmung wird das Umfeld verzerrt gespiegelt, das Licht verändert seinen Lauf, der Betrachter wird Teil des Bildes. Die Arbeit verhandelt damit das Verhältnis von Reflexion und Raum, von Wahrnehmung und Konstruktion.

Overall in very good condition. - One of 35 copies. This work from 1982 belongs to the series of mirror deformations in which Bonato mounts the metallised mirror surface on wood or carrier plates and then creates a new spatial effect by deliberately curving or folding it. The visual effect is multi-layered: the curvature distorts the reflection of the surroundings, the light changes its course, and the viewer becomes part of the image. The work thus explores the relationship between reflection and space, perception and construction.
