Split-Rocker. 2012. Vase aus Biskuitporzellan. 34 x 32 x 37cm. Unterseitig mit Drucksignatur, datiert, nummeriert, betitelt sowie mit der Manufakturmarke Bernardaud. In gefütterter Orig.-Schachtel.

Manufacture de Limoges. - Mit beiliegendem Booklet des Herausgebers mit Information zur Entstehung des Kunstwerkes. - Verkleinerte Ausführung der monumentalen Blumenskulptur "Split-Rocker", die Jeff Koons erstmals im Jahr 2000 im französischen Avignon präsentierte. Das im Palais des Papes gezeigte Werk bestand aus rund 50.000 Blumen und Pflanzen und erreichte eine Höhe von elf Metern. Inspiriert von den Köpfen zweier Schaukeltiere fügte er diese zu der finalen hybriden Form zusammen. Nach seiner Premiere in Avignon wurde "Split-Rocker" mehrfach international gezeigt, darunter 2008 im Schloss Versailles, 2012 im Park der Fondation Beyeler in Riehen bei Basel sowie 2014 am Rockefeller Center in New York. Seit 2013 gehört eine der großformatigen Skulpturen zur Sammlung des Glenstone Private Museum in Potomac, Maryland.

Manufacture de Limoges. - Includes accompanying booklet from the publisher with details on the creation of the artwork. - A miniature version of the monumental floral sculpture 'Split-Rocker,' which Jeff Koons first presented in Avignon, France, in 2000. The work exhibited at the Palais des Papes consisted of around 50,000 flowers and plants and reached a height of eleven metres. Inspired by the heads of two rocker animals, he combined them to create the final hybrid form. After its premiere in Avignon, 'Split-Rocker' was shown internationally on several occasions, including at the Palace of Versailles in 2008, in the park of the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen near Basel in 2012, and at the Rockefeller Centre in New York in 2014. Since 2013, one of the large-format sculptures has been part of the collection of the Glenstone Private Museum in Potomac, Maryland.

A pickup of this work is possible in our premises at Potsdamer Str. 16, 14163 Berlin by appointment. If you wish a shipment of the work, please contact us for a consultation and shipping calculation. Framed tickets are shipped exclusively by a shipping company due to the risk of breakage. Postal shipping is only carried out at the express request and risk of the buyer.
