Le villageois et le serpent, aus: Jean de La Fontaine, Fables II. 1927-30. Radierung auf Montval-Bütten (m. Wz.). 29,5 x 24 cm (42 x 33,6 cm). Signiert und mit der Blattnummer bezeichnet, zudem in der Platte signiert. - Papier in Rändern leicht gewellt, in wenigen Außenkanten ganz leicht gegilbt, oben rechts sehr leichte kleine Knickspur, insgesamt sehr gut. Prachtvoller, kontrastreicher Druck mit leicht eingeprägter Plattenkante und breitem Rand, an drei Seiten mit dem Schöpfrand.

Signed and indicated with sheet number, additionally signed in the plate. - Paper slightly buckled in margins, very slightly yellowed in few outer margins, small very slight crease mark on upper right, all in all very good. Splendid, contrast-rich impression with slightly impressed platemark and wide margin, deckle edge on three sides. - One of 100 signed copies of the edtion of 100 additionally published portfolios, on Montval paper. - Sheet 68 of the extentive portfolio "Jean de La Fontaine, Fables". - Print by Maurice Potin, Paris 1952.
