o.T. (Schweißtuch). 1994. Tusche, Lavage und Monotypie mit Asphaltlack auf hauchzartem Seidenpapier. 49 x 70,8 cm. Monogrammiert und datiert. - Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten. Zart anmutende und doch zugleich kraftvolle Komposition.

Ostdeutsche Kunst – Vorliegende Arbeit ist im Morgner-Archiv, Chemnitz registriert und wird dem Nachtrag des Werkverzeichnisses der Arbeiten auf Papier zugefügt. - Die Arbeit war Teil der Ausstellung "Michael Morgner", 1997 im Goethe Institut Madrid. - Nach seinem Studium an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig entwickelte Morgner ein symbolisch aufgeladenes Formenrepertoire und einen unverwechselbaren Umgang mit Materialien. Seine Kunstpraxis definiert sich jedoch nicht allein über die vollendeten Werke, sondern vor allem über die Entstehungsprozesse, in denen er sich intensiv und geradezu körperlich mit dem Material auseinandersetzt (vgl. Weckerle, S. 33).
