Spur Andreas B.: Pulver an der Hand, Blut an der Wand. 1996. Lithographie mit Übermalung in Aquarell auf Velin. 40,5 x 49 cm (53,5 x 70 cm). Signiert, datiert und bezeichnet "Halbunikat". - Kanten teils leicht und kaum merklich bestoßen. Einige wenige punktuelle Fleckchen.
Informel – Lithograph with overpainting in watercolour. Signed, dated and inscribed "Halbunikat". - Edges partially slightly and barely noticeably bumped. A few pinpoint stains. Overall very good, the colour vibrant and fresh. - Rathke 120. - K.R.H. Sonderborg's works are characterised by a powerful, mostly black and white aesthetic, which is interspersed with impulsive signs, calligraphic fragments and an intensely tangible physicality of the painting process. The present sheet was painted over by the artist with red watercolour and served as the starting point for the concept of the "semi-unique", which Sonderborg used here for the first time. In terms of motif, his expressive style and his interest in traces, signs and personal codes are condensed here in an exemplary manner: As a kind of echo of gestural energy, the composition looks like a snapshot of a sequence of movements. The combination of controlled composition and impulsive gesture reflects Sonderborg's ability to bring emotion and structure into an exciting balance.
