Seine Malerei vereint realistische Ansätze mit symbolisch aufgeladenen Elementen, die sowohl europäische Bildtraditionen als auch Einflüsse aus afrikanischen oder brasilianischen Bildsprachen aufgreifen. Durch diese vielfältigen Bezugspunkte entwickelt er eine eigenständige, kulturell hybride Bildsprache.
